Traction Lug Patent

Developed while managing design at Vibram in 2018. The utility patent is owned by Vibram for a traction lug on the soles or outsoles of footwear. The team and I designed and developed a new molding configuration to build surface area onto the sides of outsole lugs, which scientifically increases traction. Vibram has tested it with numerous variations and designs and sees roughly a 25% increase in traction on loose media, gravel, sand, pebbles, etc.
